WIP Wednesday for 8 April 2026

I do not have time for writing a long WIP Weds post today, but I don't want to leave you hanging either, so instead here's a new picture of my Tonnach cardigan: https://flic.kr/p/2s5Duxi It has a sleeve! Only one, but that's definite progress. And it even fits really well. I'm making my way down sleeve… Continue reading WIP Wednesday for 8 April 2026

Top Ten Tuesday ~ 2026 Anticipated Books (part 2 of 4)

Here are more soon-to-be published books I am interested in! These all release in the second quarter of 2026, so from April to June. Some of them I have already pre-ordered, including one that came out today and I have already received. Unlike usual, this time I actually limited myself to just the 20 books I was most interested in to share with you. (I had MANY more on my list.) Hopefully something among these 20 will pique your interest!

Linkity Wishes for April Showers

I wish that I could expect to get spring showers this year, but I'm writing this intro in the middle of a heat wave and rain is looking unlikely for the near future. I really dislike these weather changes. Spring rains were one of my favorite seasonal things when I was a kid, and we… Continue reading Linkity Wishes for April Showers

Reading Recap: March 2026

Ah, March... I spent a full half of the month being some degree of sick. Sadly, these days I've found that any time I get a regular boring cold it ends up triggering my asthma as I'm getting over the cold itself, and then I spend another week having an asthma flare-up. Very annoying. Between… Continue reading Reading Recap: March 2026

WIP Wrap-up for March 2026

I started out the month sick—and it was the muzzy headed form of illness where I didn't want to do much of anything—so I didn't start out the month with very good crafting progress. I also had several days of cross stitching but no knitting, which don't get tracked on my stitch count tracker. Monthly… Continue reading WIP Wrap-up for March 2026

Top Ten Tuesday ~ Books I Avoided Due To Love Triangles

For the most part, I don't mind bookish tropes when done well. They serve a purpose in fiction, to let an author shortcut a little bit of page time and let the reader still know what's going on and—more importantly—what to expect. However, that said, I really, really, really dislike a handful of tropes.

Series Mini Review: Manners and Monsters

I finished a series! I have to be honest, my decision to read this whole series close togther was greatly helped by the fact that the books fit SO MANY prompts for the HRCYED challenge I'm doing, but I had wanted to read them all anyway. That challenge was just the nudge that got me… Continue reading Series Mini Review: Manners and Monsters
