Had guests this morning ....
@orchun@hachyderm.io Oh, weird. I wonder what's causing that one? I don't know if @bonfire@indieweb.social might be interested in knowing that is happening.
Thanks for reporting! It looks like Mastodon picked up the hashtag link to preview, will look into it.
@lauti @liaizon @klasse_methode @ButterflyOfFire Hello! I would like to bring the Occitan language 😊 And yes I may host an instance :D
@Quenti@framapiaf.org @liaizon@social.wake.st @klasse_methode@chaos.social @ButterflyOfFire@mstdn.fr wow, this is very interesting. Feel free to start the translation, then it will be available in the next version.
Are there any plans for integration with RSS feeds? Besides of group support (in the works) and some sort of BlueSky integration (which could be skirted with RSS feeds), that's one of the few things I'd be missing to move from Friendica.
@csolisr@hub.azkware.net Bonfire provides RSS/Atom for feeds and users: docs.bonfirenetworks.org/rss... (we want to add the same for thread comments next)
And we've prototyped an extension for following RSS/Atom feeds just like you do ActivityPub actors within Bonfire, some feedback on the approach would be useful: github.com/bonfire-networks/...
@Bonfire Nice! Sidenote: there a good place to learn more about the emerging encryption standard?

Implementing Encrypted Messaging over ActivityPub
One of the project areas of the Social Web Foundation for the last year has been end-to-end encrypted messaging. ActivityPub, the standard protocol that powers the Social Web, has privacy controls, but they do not protect the content of messages from server operators. Encrypted messaging has become a common feature on many social networks since ActivityPub was created, and its lack has inhibited Social Web adoption and public trust in the network.

📢 A lot has happened in the past months for #LAUTI and @klasse_methode@chaos.social. Here is a short rundown:
🏁 We released LAUTI v1.2.0 yesterday along with a brand new blog and LAUTI documentation page on lauti.org. Some weeks ago we started working on Fediverse integration with the support of @nlnet@social.nlnet.nl @NGIZero@mastodon.xyz thanks to @linos@graz.social. Furthermore we collaborate with @Bonfire for a tight integration of events and got a couple of new contributors and public instances!
☀️ The future looks bright! Read all about it in first blog post: lauti.org/blog/lauti-updates...
We just released Bonfire 1.0.2, an update focused on giving you a more stable and reliable experience.
We're also heads-down working with several communities who are setting up their own Bonfire servers.
Plus updates on end to end encryption and federated groups.

Hello @liaizon 😊 Always happy to recieve your notifications. I've just added 23% translation in arabic (RTL) before going to bed :)
@ButterflyOfFire@mstdn.fr @liaizon@social.wake.st @klasse_methode@chaos.social
Arabic translation already looking good. To be useable in production we still need to merge this branch though, probably for the release after this one. codeberg.org/Klasse-Methode/...
@lauti @liaizon @klasse_methode @ButterflyOfFire thanks for the answer! It looks like I will have to contribute to this library as well.
@Quenti@framapiaf.org @liaizon@social.wake.st @klasse_methode@chaos.social @ButterflyOfFire@mstdn.fr
Which language are you planning on translating? And are you also planning on running your own instance of LAUTI? Maybe wait a little bit with the contribution to this lib. We will first figure out if the maintainer is active enough for our needs: github.com/goodsign/monday/i...
Otherwise we will either fork it or do it ourselves, at least partly.
Also, this is the correct link: pkg.go.dev/github.com/goodsi...
@liaizon @ButterflyOfFire @klasse_methode @lauti Hello! Before I start translating I wanted to know how dates were handled, to be sure the interface will be 100% localized :)
@Quenti@framapiaf.org @liaizon@social.wake.st @klasse_methode@chaos.social @ButterflyOfFire@mstdn.fr
Hi, thanks for the question. Sadly, this is not yet perfect, but we are aware of it: codeberg.org/Klasse-Methode/...
We generally use pkg.go.dev/github.com/ruang-... for date and time localization, but it is not integrated in all places in the code right now. This is a good hint for us to give this some more prioritization.
@lauti @Bonfire @klasse_methode yes! YES!! lauti looks so good, and i can't wait it to become part of the fediverse
@Stoori@polyglot.city @Bonfire @klasse_methode@chaos.social Thank you so much! We're giving our best to have something working soon. 💨
Finally, LAUTI has it's own fediverse account! 👋 Up until now, we used @klasse_methode@chaos.social to post about LAUTI, but we think it deserves it's own account. And we hope you think so too. 😀
We're glad that our friends from @Bonfire provided us with an account on their server. And it makes total sense, as we work closely with them on different projects, one of them being the tight integration of LAUTI events into Bonfire.
For all who don't know LAUTI yet: LAUTI - Open Source Community Calendar provides communities with a sovereign platform to share their events. Fediverse integration is in the making. For more check lauti.org
Help spread the word if you like. 🤝
Are there any activitypub implementations which encrypt the contents of messages and only allow federated instances a key to decrypt it or a similar privacy mechanism?
@capriciousday@mastodon.social we're working on it! see socialwebfoundation.org/2025...
