93 Process
93 continues Omer Arbel’s investigation into the relationship between glass and metal. Molten aluminum is poured directly into a heated hand blown glass vessel, where it moves, oxidizes, and cools against the inner surface. The finished form preserves this encounter as a suspended trace of heat, gravity, and material response.

Illuminated from within, light follows the internal contours shaped by the flow of metal, revealing tonal shifts formed through oxidation. Each 93 is hand formed in Bocci’s Vancouver studio, where variations in process ensure that no two pieces are alike.
