
Mark Cho is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Bluestone Equity Partners. Cho is a strategic leader driving the firm’s growth, operational scale, and institutional advancement. With nearly twenty years of experience scaling investment management firms, he has guided organizations through transformative growth, global expansion, and institutionalization. In his dual role, Cho leads the firm’s operational strategy and architecture—including investor relations, legal, finance, regulatory and risk management, talent strategy, and technology—while spearheading cross-functional initiatives that align infrastructure with long-term investment strategy. He has played a central role in scaling investment managers from early-stage to global platforms, designing governance frameworks, building high-performing teams, and embedding operational excellence across multiple enterprises. Cho began his career at Kirkland & Ellis, advising on private investment funds, private equity M&A, and complex regulatory matters. Prior to joining Bluestone Equity Partners, he held senior leadership roles at B Capital Group, Willow Tree Credit Partners, Tremblant Capital, and Alpha Wave Global. Across these roles, Cho has been instrumental in driving multi-billion-dollar AUM growth, launching and executing investment fund strategies, and expanding global operations and teams across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Cho's experience spans multiple asset classes, including opportunistic credit, IPOs, global public equities, direct lending, venture, growth equity, and private equity. He has led global deal execution, overseen high-stakes legal and regulatory matters, and has partnered with global institutional investors—including pensions, endowments, family offices, foundations, and sovereign wealth funds. Cho's ability to translate complexity into commercial clarity has made him a trusted advisor to investment management founders, investment teams, portfolio company leadership, and global LPs. He earned a J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.A. from Harvard University, and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
