Another series of strange/funny things I did.

Last night after playing isketch until almost 2am, I tried to sleep without taking any sleep meds, thinking may be I'll fall asleep since I feel tired. At about 4:30am, I was still awake and decided to take Ambien to fall asleep. I ate 2 tortillas and went to bed. That much I remember. What follows is my Mom's account of what I did after that. I have absolutely no recollection of this. I just woke up around 1:30pm today with the vague feeling that I might have done something after eating the tortillas because I can't seem to remember falling asleep. I just though that I must have read a few more chapters of the book I was reading before. Anyway, here it goes:

A few minutes after going back to bed I came back downstairs. I seemed really groggy. Mom and Aiko watched as I took an orange and started to peel it. I cut the orange too deep, so when I tried to take the peel off, a lot of juice spilled. Aiko, looking exasperated, cleaned up after me. I ate that orange and proceeded to grab another. I peeled that in the same manner. My motor skills are shot. Aiko steered me to the sink, so I wouldn't spill the juice all over the floor. I got juice all over my face too with Aiko diligently cleaning up. I eat the oranges like a starved animal and throw the peel backhanded in the general direction of the trash bin. I miss a lot. Aiko, probably giving up, picks up the mess and cleans after me. Mom and Aiko suggest that I go back to sleep now. I say, "ughn." I go wobbling up the stairs. They follow to make sure I make it. I pet Fishbone on the way to bed. I climb up the ladder to my bed and get under the covers. Does it end there? No, of course not.

Suddenly I sit up in bed and say, "where's the ostrich?!" Puzzled, Mom tells me there is no ostrich. "Yes, there is. The rabbit is the ostrich!!" I point at Fishbone as I lay back down. Soon after, I sit up again saying, "where's the princess?!" Mom patiently tell me there is no princess. I counter, "yes, there is. It's the rabbit!!" By this time Mom is wondering what I'm going to do next. As expected, I sit up again and ask, "what's the population of this country?!" "About 2 billion?" Mom answers. "Hmmph," I lay back down. I repeat this sort of things a few more times until, finally, I actually do go to sleep.

When I woke up today I felt really horrible. Yuhi's Mom called to ask if I could tutor Yuhi at 2pm instead of 3pm and I couldn't even talk on the phone. Seri handled it for me. I think she told her I was out, so she would expect me at the usual time. I took a bath (vs a shower) for the first time in ages, hoping it would make me feel better. It did a little. Then my Mom came home and told me the above. I cracked up and laughed. So, I feel much better now. Laughter is good medicine :) Eek. I have to get ready and go tutor now. Good thing I don't feel like crap anymore :)
