"People travel to wonder at the height of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea , at the long courses of rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering."
--Saint Augustine (354-430)
I think we spend too much time wondering about ourselves. Plus we can wonder about ourselves where we are, without traveling, though traveling can open the mind. We are so small compared to the mountains and waves of the sea and rivers and ocean and stars... really, humans are just blips in the grand scheme of things, and I am but a small blip in that blip. That sounds like cursing ;) It's neat to think that I am part of the whole thing somehow.
