I think it's going to be a tiring day.
I had more energy yesterday. Today I woke up at 10am, which is still good for me. Last night's a capella competition was really good. The Golden Overtones got first place. I didn't entirely agree with that judgement, but they were really good this year. After much phone tag and exchanges, Lyle, Patty, Kathy, Carlo, and I met at Peet's Coffee & Tea at the Town & Country Village on Embacadero at El Camino. I had a peach Jumba Juice smoothie :)
We headed over to the Stanford Campus to get in line for the show. We got great seats--4th row from the front and near the center. Unfortunately, the big smoothie I had required me to make two trips to the restroom. Lyle saw his friend in the group Artists in Residence from Berekely. He was surprised. I would have been too if I saw someone I knew in one of the groups. It was funny because his friend was the singer who pulled out the red thong during the "Thong, thong, thong..." number that they did. It was hilarious.
During intermission, Patty, Lyle, and I discussed things we knew about each other that we could use to blackmail each other (or at least embarrass--hee,hee). Out of all my friends they are the two I have known and kept in touch with the longest. I used to think I would never have friends that I would remain friends with for more than 3 years at most because that was how often our family moved when I was growing up.
Kathy finally drove "Spydie" her new Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. She's been keeping it in her garage because she's afraid her brand new car might get damaged. I guess I've never had a brand new car, so I don't know how she feels. I would think that I'd drive it a lot as soon as I got it because I'd be so happy to have a new car. Oh, yeah, she even ordered personalized license plates that say "Spydie."
I wonder what I'll get done today. I need to clean my room still, but I don't feel like it. I should call Brian too. I'll do that now.
