Ordering calendars for relatives.

I'm feeling nervous and relieved at the same time. No, no, not because of any drug I'm on ;) I placed the order for 25, 18-month calendars on Shutterfly.com just about an hour ago. That's a BIG order! Yesterday I tried to narrow down the number of images to use from about 500 to 2 dozen, and Lyle stayed up to work on the ones that made the cut to get them ready to upload to Shutterfly. I was too exhausted after my walk with YI to do much of anything last night so poor Lyle had to deal with it. Why do I have to get so drained every time I see or talk to her?? How unfortunate.

Anyhoo, I uploaded 22 this morning, narrowed that down to 19: 18 for the months and 1 for the cover. If I had more time, I could have published the calendar using iPhoto. They have more options and nicer layouts. Alas, I don't have time. I don't even know if there's enough time left to get the calendars through Shutterfly before I get on the plane next Wednesday morning. I called up Shutterfly to see if they could give me a discount on the 25 calendars (doesn't hurt to ask?) and to my surprise, they did give me $3 off each, which means we saved $75 total off their current promotional price or $200 off if we compare to their regular price. Plus, they gave my account free shipping for 3 future orders because there's some business promotion going on. Lucky!

Thanks, Lyle for suggesting that I call them first. So now I pray that the calendars will get to us in time and that they turn out decently. I could have asked for next day delivery (next day after their production time), but that would have cost another $138.99... too much.
