There are two things that we do to improve our Jitta Score and Jitta Line.

1. Discard Unusual Income from Financial Statement.

We discard Unusual Income from Financial Statement to prevent and protect loss of investors. For example, when company receives positive cash flow from selling company’s asset, Unusual Income will present in the Financial Statement even though it does not come from normal operation. However this can mislead some investors who are not very familiar with analysing Financial Statement to believe that the company has increasing income from its own business performance and likely to invest in those stocks without being aware of the fact.

Therefore, to prevent and protect risk of investors, from now on Jitta will discard unusual income from Jitta Score and Jitta Line to genuinely reflect the actual operation and performance of the companies.

In most cases, companies with high Jitta Score are usually not affected from this change because they rarely have Unusual Income. Less than 10% of all stocks on Jitta are affected.

2. Improving Jitta Line of High Quality Growth Stock.

In general, Jitta Line has been calculated in the most conservative way to prevent and protect risk of investors. Somehow, investors might not be able to invest in High Quality Growth Stock because the price was always higher than Jitta Line.

Therefore, we adjust Jitta Line of the those companies to align with the opportunity so that Jitta Line can present the genuine value of the companies during growth period.

However, Jitta Line of companies with poor performance or at high risk industries will remain conservatively as in general.

As well as discarding Unusual Income, this change does not affect many stocks, only less than 4% of all stocks on Jitta.

Our new experiment on both Jitta Score and Jitta Line has slightly affected Jitta Ranking return as shown below.

From March 18, 2016 Jitta’s new adjustment will be applied to calculate and analyse Jitta Score and Jitta Line of all stocks on Jitta which may result in changes of Jitta Score, Jitta Line and Jitta Ranking of affected stocks.

In my opinion, Jitta is not different from Google that both of us have our own algorithm that can be developed and improved overtime. In past 10 years, Google’s algorithm was not what they are today. We will keep on improving our system to make Jitta Score and Jitta Line to become the best investment standard for all investors around the world.
