What a time to be alive!
As many strive to make ends meet,
implosion and erosion, the talk of the street!
The mainstream dream of diversity and inclusion,
while those wide awake recognise the illusion.
It is not the simplicity of division
but the hard work that many shirk
to get their sound bites from the Tell-A-Vision.
Poetry has the opportunity to shed a light
while still outside the fight that divides
you and me.
the way they want it to be!
We don't have to agree,
but
be willing to engage,
outside the social rage that baits us
and prevents the listening ear.
That Algorithmic steer feeding our echo chamber
and keeping us safe from stranger danger.
Then, what's the glue?
You see,
Society was never meant to be in perfect harmony,
but united under... that which they tear asunder.
Is it any wonder where we are?
Taking the trusted ride our technocratic car!
Do we even recognise any-more who we are?
Getting back to engagement
is the next cure for this derangement!
How, you may ask?
The task: rage against the machine
that keeps us continually blinded
then, dare to hang...
with the Like-Passionate Not Like-Minded.
