Some of you may know by now that I'm the laziest being to ever grace the interwebs. My brain is always working though! I have all these great ideas for posts, arts, memes and I always end up thinking: "Whatever! somebody's done that already for sure, why bother fighting with image uploaders AGAIN?". However, I just can't skip this one, I just really need to praise the art outta some people around here! You can call them inspiration, or just crazy people making tiny squares colorful, either way muses can be found everywhere!

Beauty is in the details

The thing that I admire the most about an icon is the element of surprise. It doesn't really matter if it's complex, minimalistic, centered or not - but the screencap itself. Using weird angles and isolated elements says a lot about a maker because it reflects the investment of looking for that right moment (base screencap) and then, making it alive (icon). The final product can be misleading, like for example, the context of that screencap might be sad but the icon shows a new quality to it, and that's what I find to be the most fascinating thing about iconning.

Wit is in the text

Sometimes is the use of text that makes me go all: OIC, that's clever! people who master text, can master anything imo, it is the most difficult thing to achieve.

Genius is in the hardwork

Don't be fooled by tutorials! Being the next Andy Warhol isn't about getting things easy. It involves lots of playing around and many mistakes! It is true that we all wonder how people achieve some coloring or another but in the end, true genius can't be copied. I mean there are styles which are easily done and therefore, overused and boring. In the other hand there are makers that create unique stuff which personally, blow my mind because I know how hard must've been for them to get that and I'm clueless as how they did! Which leads me to some makers = magicians, there are no psd's that can reveal their awesome.

This is just a tiny example of awesome, I have folders and folders of art but sadly, most of them are uncredited so I don't remember who made them :( Enough about me though; how do you see iconmaking these days? what are your favorite icons/makers? what do you think makes an icon better than others? if you have any reccomendations, please post them! I'm always eager to find new pretty things. Also, how would you like a Q&A about me? I keep seeing posts where makers talk about their own stuff and I've never done one of those, will you be interested?

Following yesterday post, UK artists have reached an agreement:

"A message on FAC website, featuredartistscoalition.com following a meeting yesterday (September 24) read: "Our meeting voted overwhelmingly to support a three-strike sanction on those who persistently download illegal files, sanctions to consist of a warning letter, a stronger warning letter and a final sanction of the restriction of the infringer’s bandwidth to a level which would render file-sharing of media files impractical while leaving basic email and web access functional."

The members also voted to support Lily Allen, who was recently campaigning against illegal downloading. The singer stepped away from the debate yesterday."

This is a Freddie-friendly environment. Haters should skip this, and keep on killing puppies.

First, I want to say that I love Skins as a whole, I didn't have any expectations when Season 1 started and certainly, I still haven't got any. I think it's brilliant! And that's pretty much all. However I have a few reasons why, that I'm going to share with you, because lately fandom has been really annoying. (No suprises there, though) <- And that's sarcasm.

Why Skins is a work of art and fandom should quit the bitching: A guideline to chill the fuck out.

1. The storylines are exaggerated as fuck: even though quite realistic age-wise, they get everything to its natural limits til it becomes an absurd. Metaphysical-TV, basically.

2. Emphasis on subjective feelings: This show's base is Freudian. We get lots of drugs and eerie scenes with dreams and hallucinations. And my absolute favourite: fetishisms, manias, pathologies and repressions.

3. Teenager as a totem: THE GANG, is really important and it acts as a item (like society, per se) but every character has a strong personality and we get to see every individual experience.

4. Human relations: there's lots of isolated moments in the show, but mainly because their purpose is to show us how we all struggle from that state of inner-reflection, to another, where we have to expose ourselves and be part of a group, a friendship or a intimate relationship. We have a bunch of fuckep-up kids that have to break their own limits and reach for something "better", because that's how it is.

5. Music and Lyrical features: Music has its own importance. Sometimes, in a scene, songs and lyrics are the only information we have to help us do the math. Plus, the scenarios and certain images are completely METAPHORICAL, yo.

(If you are not conviced yet, you should remain watching Gossip Girl, or any other teen show that is easier to enjoy) Fin.

3.08 a tale on honesty and isolation

I was really looking forward to this episode because, Effy's episodes are (everything that I said before) but times a million. Which only increases the fun! My favourite part overall, was the scene when they're tripping at the fire. It was something wild and tribal = SEXY TIMES. Another highlights: the structure of the episode (it started as how it ended), it was like a mirror! Cook's arrival was the highest point, and when things start to unravel as opposed to the first part. The Honesty, please sign, Effy walking over the flowers and then throwing the shoes, Anthea bathing Effy... etc. Methaphorical images = Shakespearian tragedy.

I could probably write a critical essay on the episode but anyone would get me out of university with honours so, whatevers! Just another crazy-fan comment: JOY DIVISION! JOY DIVISION was played in this episode !!! She's Lost Control is Effy's theme from now on. I seriously could not believe my ears, this show needs more Post-Punk, at least when Effy's on, because she totally is.

Let me clarify something first: I'm not a Cook-hater, but Im not a fan of his persona either. I love the character as a character, but IRL I would hate this guy to bits. The same goes with Katie, only that I hate her as a character, and as a woman, too. Now, I will support my Freddie love. While reading some reviews everyone kept saying how fragile Effy is and how of a bastard Freds was to her. First off, Freddie has NO IDEA how Effy really thinks or does, he didn't even know that she had feelings for him until Cook showed up. In the other hand, he knows that she has slept with his mate, several times before and after he told her what he felt. I don't know you guys but I would be a little bit upset, to say the least. We have this romantic idea of Effy, which for Freddie is merely chemistry and lust, maybe love? IDK, and loads of betrayal. That (hilarious) look of disgust that Freds gave Effy, was very well placed IMO. Sometimes people tend to forget that the rest of the characters are not watching the show as we do.

Another statement that I also disagree with is, that Cookie was the most noble of them all because he actually said the truth and he was left alone with his fucking gateau and ringing bells with his nose. Cook has actually been lying all this time too, and he has cooperated with every bad situation in order to create more chaos, partly because he's too crazy to care but mainly because he needs to be needed. And actually, I think he's totally in love with Freddie. When JJ yelled to him it didn't strike me as something surprising since Cook mistreated him in his episode and JJ gave him crazy pills lol. Relationship-wise IMHO: Cook loves Freedy but he's a bomb with Naomi <3 As for Effy, I really liked the ending but not in a Bonnie/Clyde sort of thing, but as a vicious situation where Cook owns Effy and therefore Freddie. They looked pretty tragic and isolated but not in a romantic way, for me it was a declaration on lonelinness and it felt very empty and beautiful.

THOMAS! COOK! FREDS! I guess what most people didn't get is the mirror thingy that I already commented at the beginnig. (Freddie and Effy) and Cook and (Panda and Thomas) see? :D I think that what makes Thomas the bravest one of them all, is because he stood up to both Cook and Panda with very few words and as stoically as it could be. I wish that in the finale they all grow a pair and make a speech just like Thomas'.

In other news, I may be excluded from lj !!! (I will leave this post open, in case you want to pimp it, let's see if we can get some rational discussion in here). But seriously, I love my show as much as I love my computer. Don't take this away from me, fandom! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO KILL PUPPIES, I'm nice *:)

Snow Angels is a complex and delicate movie in which we can, slowly as the plot unravels, notice how easy love and hate can develope in our lives if we let them so. It takes too relationships, randomly connected, in a journey through guiltiness & innocence. Something irrevocably ends with another is in full bloom and the eternal question: Are you sad/happy because you let them happen to you or because you truly fight for them?

I chose the innocence. I wanted to show you the cuteness of discovering new things and being grateful of the neverending chances we have EVERY DAY, 24 hrs, a year! The pain is only worth it in order to accept happiness. No emo necessary imo.

I dont know what is it with me that Im getting even lazier when it comes to post than ever, Im a boring young woman so does reflect my journal and hell, I cant promise I will change, but still I hope you smarty pants can deal with this relaxed spirit Im becoming. This one is about movies.

| I've read Pullman's trilogy so you can say Im really looking forward to this one, though honestly, the books werent that exciting to me and I cannot recall why so Im re-reading. In the mean time there's this trailer which couldnt be worse made thant it is - Polar Bears clearly taken from the worst Light & Magic wanna be and a plain Lyra. Mind you, Eva Green looks amazing!
I say: *** out of 5.

pros: Aldult cast, book background, sci fi-fantasy zone.
cons: 3D effects, kid playing Lyra.

| this one looks pretty interesting, Daniel Day-Lewis always picks obscure projects and success, so yeah Im all for it. Plus it has Paul Dano ( the colorblind teen from Little Miss Sunshine) and it has this Deadwood+Carnivale mood. Tasty.

pros: cast, story, set and mood, book background.
cons: violence?, religion/pagan issues.

| Oh god, this one is that kind of film you know you would love to death if it wasnt for its lousy actors. Except Jamie Bell <3 and with no offense to every Rachel Bilson fans out there. Seriously though, this is everything I like: action, sci-fi, conspiracy... etc. But yeah Hayden+Rachel kills the plot for me (What a pair!) at least I was really glad to see Samuel L.Jackson and Jamie cause then again they are the real thing. Excuse my sincerity.

Here I go again with my monthly entry about a random show. I swear I watch all those fancy new shows, its just that I find quite stimulating watching something, someone might not. And I always rec good stuff, Aint I?

Hallo folks! I really have not much to say... Im still on vacation and there isnt a fluid fandom activity at the moment so Im just chilling and catching up with my DVD/Book collection. So I basically just read and watch movies the whole day cause its so incredibly hot out there that I can only hit the streets when most of you are in bed so yeah Im really looking forwad autumm and its awesome weather and TV schedule. So here's the point of this post:

I found out that Im in love with Shia LeBeouf (Bright is my second name) like SERIOUSLY, a huge crush, cause he reminds me of every cute guy back at the 80's you know? all these pretty normal guys like Matthew Brotherick in Ferris Bueller's day of or John Cusack in Say Anything... HE IS A GOONIE, OF THAT IM SURE. So I spent the whole 2 hours of Transformers just waiting for him to rise one eyebrow and start doing the moonwalk to any The Clash hit. It will come.

Also since I heard of Owen Wilson's suicide attempt I've been very keen on him and found out that he co-wrote The Tenenbaums so somehow I suddenly saw him with a different perspective, how can someone have so much awesomeness on his mind and hand and shoot things like: You, me & now Dupree So yes, now Owen is like an enygma I rather solve or die trying. I have the Life Aquatic and Daajerling Limited on the queue of must watch - You should as well.

As for books, I've been reading most of Nick Hornby and Palahniuk's stuff. I discover this cute little book called: "Love is a mixtape, life and loss one song at a time" by Rob Sheffield and its really moving and fresh, like anything I've read, specially cause its a biography with a very easy-to-read prose. The only romantic note I have to add is that I bought "Time Traveler's wife" as well and I've been completely in love with it ever since I opened (and then closed) this haunting novel. Its characters are simply gorgeous as well as the author's writing... I dont know how you kids can say how awesome "Twilight" is when THIS BOOK is out there, shame on you. SHAME ON YOU. Then again I started shipping the main pair with a passion. And it recreates so well the 80's scene (incluiding the music which wins in many levels) that Im in this kind of... completely absorved by its words, references and scenarios that it should be mentally illegal. Anyway. Everytime I get this feeling I open PS and something happens so thats good and I dont feel that guilty about loving so hard fictional characters.

the countdown to my finals is now running faster than ever so Im pretty lost in a sea of papers, highlighters and coffee and I felt it was time for me to watch The Office, I had great expectations and this show has become my new crack! I managed to watch seasons 1 and 2 this weekend and now Im ready to catch up with season 3 so I can watch the finale on time *Score* beach games spoilers: Oh god please let the finale be a total Jam reunion so I can rejoice the entire summer.

This is one of the greatest shows (if not the best) I've seen this year, lots of pretty, crazy stuff and reality. I dare you not to fell in love with the characters after one single episode! and speaking of crack... it has the cutest, most epic, realistic OTP EVER!

I heart Jim (and Pam). I relate to Pam a lot... I just wish there were more Jims out there

This took me more that I expected, choosing my fav. scenes and shots was way difficult since the whole series has an unique camera style and dialogues, but its time to close this era and I just hope this tiny tribute is enough to make any BoB fan out there, proud of it.

First I must say that I felt dissapointed and frustrated about the episode, there was something missing...
like all my expectations were gone, Im easily in love and easily bored but After rewatching it and talking
to Ola I realized I did loose the point of this show: Enjoy the moment, Dont avoid the pain.
and that's it... who cares for the ones that come easily? ;) Yep, thats the deal.

So first we have our recently converted Superheroe in town having a "trip / vision"
he's all concentration and YES posting all these angles was a MUST...
the thing that made all giggle is his Jesus fashion style ways... gotta love it!!1!

And then we knew why Jack's all happy these days: CARTOONS! How cute! and Juliet of course ;)
Im falling so much for these two, this is the first time that I see an equal competition,
they challenge each other and there's no winner! Also Juliet is a kick ass...
so much chemistry *faints* Thanks Writers!!

And you know this is when my temperature goes high and I started to shake, totally lost my self control... etc etc etc

Well then, I swear Im gonna do my best to hex you all, because I'll like to post more picspams in the future (with spoilers) if you arent curious that's ok, I tried to picture every important thing on the show to make it perfectly clear, Im not gonna defriend no one for thinking that this show sucks its just that you'll break my heart :/ On the other hand, if you're interested on the show and like the plot ( I LOVE YOU) I have uploaded the Pilot which is a 2hours-Premiere.
