It was earlier the center of the local parish but is today a part of Karlskrona Municipality. Little is known about its predecessor, except that it was demolished between the years 1841 and 1843.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parish and the rest of Blekinge became a part of Sweden in 1658 with the Treaty of Roskilde. The parish was split between the civil government and the church in 1862 with the establishment of Tving Municipality and Tving Congregation. The municipality remained independent until 1963 when it was merged with Fridlevstad Municipality. These are complemented by smaller commercial and community buildings, leaving few unique buildings to see. However, there is an exception, and that is the church. Fields and forests surround the residential area, making it possible to enjoy nature and the Swedish countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"block-97a0daec-4cf0-4ebc-8667-8f59a29ec89d\">Tving Church<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-dce25c0e-2e46-4da3-a495-478b9487274d\">Tving Church is one of the largest churches in the province of Blekinge. It was inaugurated in 1843 but has inventories dating back to the 16th century. This is, without much competition, the most prominent and one of the most historical buildings in the nearby area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"block-80d1eff1-ccae-464a-882b-fe2350e5962b\">Lake Sk\u00e4rsj\u00f6n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-2a02075b-9def-4548-84fe-b9cd5ecc38bf\">Sk\u00e4rsj\u00f6n is a lake to the northeast of the locality. This is where you will find the local beach and a large area for outdoor activities in the summer months, such as swimming, barbeques, and sunbathing.
