This fund is to pay tribute to Damian Wroblewski Jr. who at 13 years old was diagnosed with a high grade glioma and bravely fought for 3 years. Children’s National Hospital has started the “Damian Wroblewski Jr. Fund” which honors his legacy and mission to increase funding and awareness of the critical need for pediatric brain cancer research. All funds directly support Junior’s neuro-oncologist: Dr. Brian Rood, who is a leader in brain tumor research. Junior’s bravery and fighting spirit continues to inspire Dr. Rood and his team to remain steadfast in pursuit of better treatments that are safer, less toxic and more precise for pediatric patients.
