2026 Coolmore Australia Brochure

2026

Since I made this great country my home some 20 years ago, I don’t think there has ever been a more exciting time here at Coolmore Australia. Firstly, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have acquired sire sensation Super Seth, who has made a truly remarkable start to his stud career. Home Affairs, a Coolmore syndicate horse, has exceeded even our loftiest expectations with a record-breaking first season headed by Golden Slipper winner Guest House. And another syndicate horse, the Golden Slipper winner Shinzo, was by far the leading first-crop sire at the weanling sales. None of this would be possible without the continued support of our

valued clients, to whom we are eternally grateful. We look forward to sharing in your future success.

“St Monica is a highly promising filly who broke her maiden by 3 lengths on debut and was somewhat unlucky at Group 1 level at her only other start. I had the confidence to pay $440,000 for what I thought was a standout colt by St Mark’s Basilica at Karaka this year. The exciting thing for me is that whatever they do at two they will continue to improve. I’m a big fan!” Roger James

COLTS SYNDICATE

Established in 2020, the Australian Colts Syndicate was founded to invest in yearling colts, race them at the highest level, and ultimately develop them into successful stallion prospects.

It was a dream start for the syndicate when dual Group 1 winner Home Affairs emerged from the very first intake, before going on to make the perfect start to his stud career with his first runners this season. That success and momentum has since flowed with Golden Slipper hero Shinzo, record-breaking Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Switzerland, and Caulfield Guineas victor Private Life. With the enduring backing of its foundation partners, the syndicate stands as a proven partnership and an unparalleled opportunity to secure a stake in the stallions of tomorrow.

BALLYDOYLE RACING

Each year, many of the finest sales yearlings from around the world are carefully selected to join our outstanding homebreds in racing for the Coolmore partners across both hemispheres. Only a select few go on to stand at Coolmore as stallions, leaving you with an unequalled depth of talent from which to acquire a racehorse of the very highest calibre. In April of this year, former Ballydoyle resident Changingoftheguard became the fourth Sydney Cup winner to have been sold by us. On the same afternoon, another of our graduates, Sir Delius, landed the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, bringing Autumn Glow’s winning streak to an end. We’ve also sold two of the last three Hong Kong Derby winners so, wherever you’re planning on racing, you know who to call!

AGRICULTURE & AGRONOMY

Our agriculture and agronomy operations play a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing, and performance of every horse on the farm. Our cattle herd is carefully managed across irrigated paddocks to help maintain pasture quality and ensure a constant supply of fresh grazing for resident horses. Alongside this, our in-house hay operation produces a variety of premium Lucerne and grass hay tailored to the nutritional requirements of each individual horse, from broodmares and foals through to yearlings and spelling horses. Every hay cut is rigorously tested for quality, moulds, and toxins prior to feeding, ensuring the highest standards of care and consistency across all areas of the farm.

JED ELLIS CLUFF Farm Manager

A LONG TIME IN THE BUSINESS

For almost two centuries, the Magnier family has pursued a single desire: to stand the very best stallions. Coolmore is the realisation of that vision on a global scale.

In the late 1970s, Coolmore revolutionised the industry by pioneering the concept of shuttle stallions. Danehill became the most celebrated example going on to become the most dominant influence on Australian breeding in the modern era. Other champion sires followed in the shape of Encosta de Lago and Danehill’s outstanding son Fastnet Rock. Now, with Home Affairs and Super Seth, we are delighted to offer two of the most exciting young stallions in the business.
