Methodology
Disc golf course rankings are derived from more than 6.5 million ratings by more than 1 million unique disc golfers worldwide, analyzed using a methodology developed by UDisc’s data science team to identify the best disc golf courses in the world.
To compare courses on a level playing field, the system adjusts for differences in how individuals interpret the 5-star scale while preserving what players are actually expressing: which courses are better than others. These differences are commonly a result of regional or local norms, but can also reflect personal preference. More recent reviews also carry greater weight.
Because of these factors, some courses with higher average star ratings in the UDisc directory may not rank as high as courses with lower averages. The rankings are derived entirely from player ratings — no surveys, editorial input, or manual adjustments are used.
