Voluntary National Review 2026, Republic of Moldova
Moldova’s Voluntary National Review 2026 highlights steady progress in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals despite multiple crises, including the pandemic, energy shocks, and regional instability. Improvements were recorded in social protection, health, education, infrastructure, and gender equality, alongside expanded digital services and stronger partnerships.
At the same time, structural challenges persist - particularly in rural poverty, inequalities, economic resilience, and climate vulnerability. Moving forward, accelerating reforms, strengthening institutions, and investing in people and green development will be essential to ensure sustainable, inclusive progress where no one is left behind.
The report was developed with the contribution from UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA and UN Resident Coordinator Office.
