We just published a new edition of NNERPP | Extra, our quarterly magazine aiming to deliver key insights from the intersection of education research, policy, and practice! We invite you to explore the following articles:

EXAMINING TEACHER RETENTION AND TEACHER EVALUATION WITH NNERPP MEMBERS: We examine what four different NNERPP members have found when investigating teacher retention and teacher evaluation.
ARE COMMUNICATIONS, DISSEMINATION, AND ENGAGEMENT THE SAME THING? HOW RPPs DISTINGUISH AMONG THESE: We explore what the words “communication,” “dissemination,” and “engagement” mean to various RPP-ers and how they are operationalizing these words with respect to their RPPs.

Upcoming virtual discussion of interest: Building the Field for Collaborative Education Research
Friday, July 22nd, 12-1:30 pm ET / 11-12:30 pm CT / 9-10:30 am PT

Co-hosted by CU Boulder School of Education and Stanford Graduate School of Education

In response to a current lack of programs and pathways to support collaborative education research, this discussion will inform a recently launched multi-organizational effort to build formal training opportunities as a means to broaden participation in this type of research. While some evidence suggests that educational research conducted in collaboration with educators, families, and communities is more useful, impactful, and can ultimately support equitable outcomes for children, we know less about the learning that researchers, practitioners, and community members need to engage in to support such collaborative work, with few formal training opportunities in existence.

The presenters will share more about this effort and the initial work that has taken place and will invite participants’ input as well as host small group discussions.

This will be our 7th official Annual Forum and will once again be held in a virtual format. Our theme this year: “What Really Matters? An RPP Learning Journey for Now and the Future.”
