Employment includes full or part time employment, volunteering substituting, or any individual who may have unsupervised contact with a child in licensed child care facility, a recorded program (preschool and school age), a requesting agency or licensed exempt child care receiving payment from ERDC.

Examples of position descriptions: Volunteer, Owner, Substitute, Teacher, Aide II, Son, Daughter, Spouse/Partner, Assistant, Director, Provider and Other Adult are all examples or positions within a facility.
Association with a child care facility includes any adult (18 years or older) who lives in the home of a child care provider, who visits on a regular basis, or who may have unsupervised contact with a child in a registered, certified family child care home, recorded program (preschool or school age) or licensed exempt child care receiving payment from ERDC. These examples are NOT all inclusive.
Oregon has three levels of licensed child care facilities. They are certified center (which also includes outdoor nature-based child care and certified school-age center), certified family child care homes, and registered child care home. Please do NOT write down information about a facility unless you have been offered a position or are currently working at a facility.
Requesting Agency: A childhood care and education program or individual providing care to children which is regulated by Child Care Licensing Division, an early childhoood care and education program, or a program that provides early childhood special education or early intervention services.

Examples of a Requesting Agency: Pre-kindergarten, Parent-as-Teacher, Early Intervention or Early Childhood Education Program funded by the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care.
"Preschool Recorded Program" means a facility providing care for preschool age children that is primarily educational for four hours or less per day and where no preschool child is present at the facility for more than four hours per day.
"School Age Recorded Program" means a program for school age children that does not take the place of a parent's care, in which youth development activities are provided to children during hours that school is not in session. For purposes of these rules, a school age recorded program does not include programs that are operated by a school district as defined in ORS 332.002.
ERDC pays the provider on behalf of the family if the family is eligible for child care assistance. For ERDC to make payments directly to you as their provider, you must be listed and approved before you provide care and become eligible for payment. You must agree to meet certain requirements and be enrolled in the Central Background Registry which includes a criminal history and Child Protective Services record check. You must also agree to meet health and safety standards and pass a health and safety check at the site where care is being provided.
The Oregon Zoo will give you specific instructions if you are to enroll in the Central Background Registry, and will give you a code that must be typed in to proceed.
The Oregon Child Care Resource and Referral program will give you specific instructions if you are to enroll in the Central Background Registry, and will give you a code that must be typed in to proceed.
The CCS will give you specific instructions if you are to enroll in the Central Background Registry, and will give you a code that must be typed in to proceed.
