Water is life. From cave symbols to ancient mythology, water has always represented the beginning of everything. It’s the origin and sign of creation. Finding a way to secure our water supply is critical for survival. So, as rising temperatures continue to threaten the global ecosystem, we have to look for innovative solutions. The Sundt team is implementing one of those solutions to securing our water future. This #EarthDay, we’re celebrating the 50% mark of the City of Phoenix Water Services Cave Creek Water Reclamation Plant Rehabilitation, which is designed to produce Class A+ non potable reuse reclaimed water quality. Once complete, the plant will produce 8 million gallons of water every day for Arizona’s families. • Join us in welcoming our volunteer ambassadors as we continue celebrating #NationalVolunteerWeek! This group of employee owners champion volunteerism in their communities and have stepped up to make sure everyone feels connected to causes they're passionate about. Happy #NationalVolunteerWeek! If you’ve worked with me or know me personally, you know I’m always bopping around the community and that volunteerism is my passion. My college honors thesis was even about recruiting college volunteers (shoutout to Barrett, The Honors College). Getting to continue coordinating volunteer events and meeting people who care about giving back to the world around them as my job is my favorite thing. Recently, I onboarded my first group of Sundt Foundation Volunteer Ambassadors. These are fellow employee-owners across Sundt Construction who have stepped up to champion volunteering in their local communities, bring others along, and help us build lasting relationships with our nonprofit partners. We’re starting slow and steady, but the goal is to create more consistent opportunities for employee-owners across the U.S. to give back, connect, and make an impact where they live and work. Working with these wonderful humans (and getting to spoil them with trivia prizes and welcome boxes) has already been so much fun. I feel really lucky to learn from them and spend time with people who genuinely care about making a difference. Join me in thanking this incredible group of Volunteer Ambassadors for stepping up to help the Sundt Foundation continue to serve the communities where we live and grow! Learning never stops at Hardy Elementary, and neither does progress. Sundt is transforming the campus through a phased, whole-site approach that keeps the school fully operational and students learning throughout construction. New additions to the campus include a two-story classroom building, a new food service building with covered dining, the removal of outdated portable classrooms, and targeted renovations to student and administrative spaces. Close collaboration with school leadership, San Diego Unified School District partners, and the broader school community has helped shape the project, incorporating input from staff, students, and families to ensure the campus meets long-term needs. Following early demolition, site preparation is underway at Hardy Elementary as the next phase of construction begins. Explore more of Sundt’s K-12 work: https://bit.ly/48eZGGD

  • Happy #NationalVolunteerWeek! Since 1890, service has been at the core of what we do at Sundt. Our founder, M.M. Sundt, identified giving back as an integral piece of being responsible stewards of our community. His belief lives on through our employee owners over 135 years later. Be sure to check out Emily Dwosh’s perspective on volunteerism and its connection to employee engagement and retention. As Community Relations Manager and Executive Director of the Sundt Foundation, she explains how it’s crucial to offer employees meaningful opportunities to engage in purpose-driven work.

Employee engagement hit a 10-year low in 2025 with only 31% of U.S. employees feeling engaged at work. The result? Burnout and turnover. Since joining Sundt three years ago to lead community relations and the Sundt Foundation, I’ve found that it’s our passionate employee-owners who fuel the impact. This #NationalVolunteerWeek, I want to highlight that when employees are part of something bigger than their job, they are more invested in staying with their organization. At Sundt Construction, service is integral to who we are, and the results speak for themselves. 84% of Sundt employee-owners say that being involved in the community makes them more engaged in their day-to-day work. Utah’s largest solar-plus-storage project consists of nearly 1 million panels, provides 540 MW of solar and 1,600 MWh of storage. Sundt Renewables and rPlus Energies are nearing completion of the Green River Energy Center. Spanning 2,500 acres in Emery County, this massive effort included moving over a million cubic yards of earth and installing 125,000 piles to bring reliable, around-the-clock energy to the grid. With a 400-MW battery system, the project delivers power even when the sun isn’t shining. Wherever we build, we bring prosperity along with us. Sundt helped fund $375,000 in scholarships for Emery and Carbon County students pursuing local and energy related fields at Utah State University Eastern. As the project nears the end of its fourth phase, the team will complete performance and capacity testing in anticipation of completion. Learn more about the project: https://bit.ly/4vB6yIr

Delivering in the heart of an active university campus is complex, but made easier when the build will support and inspire the next generation of engineers. We’re thrilled to have completed the The University of Texas at El Paso’s Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace Center. The four story, 94,000 square foot facility brings together laboratories, research and collaboration spaces that give students hands on, real world experience in advanced manufacturing and aerospace programs. Working within a busy university setting, safety, coordination and continuity didn’t miss a beat. The team maintained pedestrian access and minimized disruption to daily campus life throughout construction. The center expands opportunities for students and strengthens research capabilities. Congratulations to the Sundt team, our partners and friends on this epic addition to campus! Learn more about how we're building higher education: https://bit.ly/4taCHVx
