WORLD CUP KICK-OFF:

Dundee United fans hijack Rangers' minute's silence for The Queen as 'Lizzie's in a box' chanted at Ibrox

The Scottish Premiership clash at Ibrox is the first domestic tie between the two since the monarch's passing.

The minute's silence held in memory of the Queen before Rangers ' clash with Dundee United was disrupted by crowd chanting.

The Ibrox side hosted the Tannadice side in their first domestic outing since the long-reigning monarch passed away aged 96 last week. SPFL matches were postponed last weekend following the Queen's death but the fixture card is set to resume on Saturday.

Rangers paid further tributes ahead of the Queen's funeral on Monday but they were disrupted by Dundee United fans. The minute's silence was interrupted by booing before sections of the crowd were audibly heard chanting 'Lizzie's in a box', in reference to the late monarch. The home crowd then booed the response from the visiting support, before they sang a rendition of the national anthem in the Queen's honour.

And video footage has emerged Hibs supporters turning their back on the minute's silence at Easter Road while also chanting 'Lizzie's in a box'.
