Massive fire engulfs original Buc-ee's in Luling, new world's largest location unharmed

LULING, Texas - A massive fire broke out at the original Buc-ees building Monday morning.

The fire left the original location in ruins, the new Luling Buc-ees was not damaged. (SBG San Antonio)

According to theCaldwell County Office of Emergency Management, crews are on the scene of the fire in the area of Interstate 10 and U.S. Highway 183 in Luling.

The area is blocked off as crews work to get the fire under control at the original Buc-ees building that opened in 2003. A brand new Buc-ees opened on June 10, making it the largest convenience store in the world.The new travel center is 75,000-square-foot with 120 gas pumps.

According to the Gonzales Inquirer, multiple departments responded to the fire, but it is not a danger to the new Buc-ees.
