EVENTS

WHEN: Thursday, December 1st, at 3 pm ET / 2 pm CT / 12 pm PT

FACILITATORS: Laura Booker and Raven Powell,
Tennessee Education Research Alliance

TOPIC: Negotiating research requests and approvals in RPPs
The negotiation of research requests and approvals between research-side and practice-side partners in an RPP –as well as any other partners who might be involved in the partnership– can be challenging, given that partners might have different expectations around timelines, methods, and access to data.

We invite you to a workshop discussing the challenges of this aspect of RPP work, as well as any promising strategies workshop participants have identified and used. Members of the
Tennessee Education Research Alliance (TERA) will share their current experiences and wonderings on negotiating research requests and approvals and then invite participants to weigh in with their own experiences and questions and to identify specific strategies to address these challenges. We hope you join us!

Heads-up: Our final webinar of the year will take place just a few days later, on Tuesday, December 6. Stay tuned for details!
NNERPP aims to develop and support RPPs in education in order to improve the connection between research, policy, and practice.

NNERPP is made possible by the generous funding support of the Bill & Melinda Gates FoundationWilliam T. Grant Foundation The Annie E. Casey Foundation, and The Wallace Foundation
