MONTEVALLO, Ala. – For the first time since Nov. 22, 2021, Montevallo women's basketball appeared in the D2 College Sports Communicators (CSC) with a debut ranking of seventh with a 3-1 record in the early going of the 2023-24 season.
The Falcons opened the campaign with a loss to Embry-Riddle in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. before bouncing back with a 77-69 win over tournament-host Nova Southeastern on Nov. 11. In Montevallo's home opener, Head Coach
Olivia Chapman's squad defeated Birmingham-Southern 67-40 before opening the conference schedule with a 78-67 road win over Alabama in Huntsville on Nov. 25. In a game not included in this week's rankings, the Falcons pulled out a 14-point win over in-state rival West Alabama on the road on Nov. 27.
Montevallo will take to the floor for the start of a two-game homestand on Dec. 1 against Shorter at 5 p.m.
The next D2 CSC regional poll is set to be released on Monday, Dec. 4.
