Fit & Lit is your ultimate dance cardio class, where high-energy movement meets heart-pumping music for a workout experience like no other! Groove to the beats of Soca, Hip Hop, and Afrobeats—genres that’ll keep your feet moving and your spirit lifted. We’ll kick things off with an exciting cardio warm-up that’ll have you dancing, sweating, and smiling all at once. Then, get ready for a quick, powerful HIIT section designed to boost your endurance and metabolism. But don’t worry, we finish strong with a calming mindfulness practice to leave you feeling centered and refreshed.

No matter your fitness level, Fit and Lit celebrates rhythm, strength, and self-love—empowering you to dance your way to your best self. Join us, feel the music, feel ENERGIZED and get Fit and Lit!

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes to move around in.

Free and open to the public. Advance registration is encouraged. Walk-ups are welcome. The event is rain or shine—the event space is fully covered. In the event of extreme weather, this program may be canceled for the health and safety of our visitors and staff. If a cancellation is necessary, Eventbrite registrants will be notified via email and we will post an update on our website and @highlinenyc’s X feed.

About the instructor
Janeil Mason is an independent personal trainer and group fitness instructor with a holistic approach to health and wellness. She blends fitness with fun as the creator of @fitandlitnyc. Passionate about alkaline plant-based living, she’s on a mission to share holistic health tips and mind-body practices.

Fit & Lit is part of our High Line Wellness programming, designed specifically with older adults in mind. Adults of any age are invited to join the High Line to learn, move, have fun, and connect with neighbors. Wellness activities, educational sessions, cultural engagements, and other events are offered on and near the park, in collaboration with local community-based organizations that serve older adults in Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen, and on the West Side of Manhattan.

By attending this event, you agree that photos and/or video footage of you may be taken, and you grant your permission to Friends of the High Line and its agents/licensees to use such photos/footage for promotional and other purposes.
