Shakira concert draws thousands, boosts local economy by over $2.1 million

The recent Shakira concert at Valley Children's Stadium attracted a total attendance of 34,100 people, with a significant portion of the audience traveling from outside the local area.

According to data collected, 28.5% of attendees journeyed from more than 50 miles away, resulting in an estimated 9,718 out-of-area visitors.

The influx of concertgoers also had a notable impact on the local hospitality sector, generating approximately 320 hotel room nights.

The economic boost from visitor spending is estimated to be $2,142,286, underscoring the concert's substantial contribution to the local economy.
