NNERPP YEAR IN REVIEW

We are honored to share this year’s “NNERPP Year in Review”, which celebrates the achievements of our community from 2021. The NNERPP Year in Review report is a document produced annually (beginning in 2017) that highlights the work of our members and summarizes NNERPP’s efforts and activities for the calendar year.

This year’s report starts with a summary of NNERPP projects in 2021, then takes you through short vignettes that describe some of the work our members have undertaken this year and the impact of that research on practice. We are amazed by the impactful work our members have been able to achieve in this challenging year and are proud to share our collective contributions to the RPP field in this report. We invite you to explore the report
here. Happy reading and happy holidays from NNERPP!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: CALL FOR PAPER PROPOSALS

Dr. Erin Henrick of Vanderbilt University and Partner to Improve and Dr. Paula Arce-Trigatti of NNERPP are co-editors of a special issue on Research-Practice Partnerships for the Peabody Journal of Education and invite you to submit paper proposals:

GENERAL TOPICS: Research-Practice Partnerships (RPPs) are often seen as a key strategy to address complex challenges and persistent inequities facing education today. Despite their popularity, there is still much to be learned and understood in terms of how and in what ways RPPs support educational improvement. As resources for educational improvement efforts and research initiatives are limited, what value do RPPs offer?

In this special call, we invite interested parties to submit a proposal that expands upon what is known about the ways RPPs impact educational improvement efforts, focusing not only on improving student outcomes through RPP research and activities, but also considering changes to organizational culture, shifts in whose voices are heard and elevated throughout the educational improvement process, and improvements in tools, resources, or ways of working.

SUBMISSION: Authors should submit their proposal via this link by February 1, 2022.

VIRTUAL BROWN BAGS

This week, Lila Goldstein and Chelsea Farley led us in an important and engaging conversation about targeted strategies we might use for managing different dimensions of sensitivity in partnership work. This brown bag conversation concluded our three-part series on sensitive partnership work, but we hope to continue to explore this topic in various future NNERPP activities.

Our Virtual Brown Bag series will continue next year! Stay tuned for details on the January Brown Bag.
