LOS ANGELES (KCBS) - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are providing comfort to those affected by the wildfires burning in Los Angeles County.

On Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted at the Pasadena Convention Center, which has become a meal distribution and evacuation center.

The two were seen speaking with World Central Kitchen founder Jose Andres as well as victims and first responders.

The mayor of Pasadena said Prince Harry and Meghan had also served food at the center earlier in the day. They also donated clothing and essential supplies.

The duke and duchess have also opened their home to friends who were forced to evacuate.

Roughly 153,000 people remain under evacuation orders and at least 16 deaths have been reported however officials have warned the actual toll remains unclear since authorities have yet to safely access many neighborhoods.
