Eva Toor Brand
Eva Toor is a lifelong equestrian with a desire to help the equestrian community. As soon as she started riding at 5 years old, she knew it was her passion. Fast forward 15 years, and she’s turned that passion into a lifestyle brand that combines safety and style to solve the everyday problems of equestrians.
She began working on her first product, the Tiny Tack Room, during her freshman year of college. The Tiny Tack Room is a portable, collapsible saddle stand designed to provide maximum convenience for equestrians on the go. After years prototyping and testing, the Tiny Tack Room was officially launched in July of this year!
Toward the end of last year, she began working on a second product - the SlimSafe. After a few bad falls, the risks of horse back riding finally became a reality instead of a hypothetical. The SlimSafe is still about a year away from launching, but with the help of the wonderful ecosystem in WV, we’re making daily progress on helmet safety standards in the horse industry.

MixMatch was inspired by spending time in Washington, D.C., where founder Andrew Shephard recognized a significant demand for innovative ways to meet people. Observing the challenges of forming genuine connections in a digital age, he realized the need for a platform that fosters in-person interactions. This vision led to the creation of MixMatch, a space dedicated to speed friending and speed dating events held at real venues.
The mission is simple: to help individuals forge meaningful relationships through engaging social experiences. By partnering with local venues, MixMatch provides a welcoming environment for participants to connect, share, and build friendships in a relaxed setting. Montani Bio
Montani BioMontani Biotherapeutics is a West Virginia-based biotechnology company focused on expanding the applications of mRNA technology within the field of vaccines and therapeutics. Founded in the fall of 2024, Montani Bio is the culmination of years of vaccine research and development by founders Heath Damron, PhD and Katherine Lee (PhD-candidate).
While mRNA vaccines have been successfully used in the infectious disease space, Damron and Lee worked to find other uses for mRNA technology. In doing so, the team developed genetic adjuvants that can be used not only to boost antibody responses from vaccines, but also to improve host responses to cancer therapies.
These projects have also led to product developments in the mRNA production space, reimaging the approach of researchers and companies alike to produce mRNA drug products. This November, Lee will defend her dissertation and graduate with her PhD, shifting her focus to continue building Montani Bio.
