AEFP CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The Association for Education Finance and Policy (AEFP) is now accepting proposals for its 48th Annual Conference, which will take place March 23–25, 2023 in Denver, Colorado. Submissions will be accepted for individual papers, posters, and policy talks.
From the call for proposals:
"We welcome submissions from across disciplinary and methodological backgrounds, from practitioners and scholars, and from a diversity of opinions and perspectives. The quality of evidence and thought demonstrated at our annual conference is our priority. To quote the introduction to Hess and Noguera’s (2021) A Search for Common Ground, "We've tried to offer an alternative model, one for those who desire to disagree with grace and explore differences without rancor." We share this approach and goal, and our general session will underscore this message and set the tone for the conference."
Conference theme: "A Great Upheaval: Research and Evidence in a Time of Political and Social Transformation"
Proposal submission dates: September 19–October 28, 2022
See the full call for proposals here.

A DISCUSSION ABOUT BUILDING THE FIELD FOR COLLABORATIVE EDUCATION RESEARCH, Part 3
In response to a current lack of programs and pathways to support collaborative education research, this meeting will inform a recently launched multi-organizational effort to build formal training opportunities as a means to broaden participation in this type of research.
In this third meeting co-hosted by CU Boulder School of Education and Stanford University Graduate School of Education, we will share more about this effort and the work that has taken place so far. We will kick off the discussion by summarizing what we learned from the July 22 and August 26, 2022 conversations, providing an analysis of themes and open questions from our attendees. We will then have smaller group discussions to expand on this analysis and to build on the existing ideas the participants have developed so far. This will be our third conversation of three; as such, we will invite participants to indicate what role (if any) they would like to have in this work moving forward. We hope you join us for the first time, or again, if you have joined us in the July and August discussions.
WHEN: Friday, 9/23, 12-1:30 pm ET
REGISTER: Please register using this form. Free and open to all.
