Partner organizations include the University of Colorado Boulder School of Education, Aurora Public Schools, and the Center for Assessment, Design, Research and Evaluation (CADRE). The partnership works to support NGSS-aligned science instruction.
 

REL MID-ATLANTIC EXAMINES DISPROPORTIONALITY IN SCHOOL DISCIPLINE 
 
In “
Disproportionality in School Discipline: An Assessment in Maryland through 2018,” Johanna Lacoe and Mikia Manley identify trends in disciplinary removals in Maryland from the 2009/10 to the 2017/18 school years and examine discipline disparities.


NYC EARLY CHILDHOOD RESEARCH NETWORK EXAMINES MALE TEACHERS’ ENGAGEMENT IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD FIELD

In “An Examination of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors Influencing Men’s Decisions to Teach Young Children,” Jean-Yves Plaisir, Kirsten Cole, and Mindi Reich-Shapiro examine factors that positively impact recruitment, retention, and professional development of male educators in the early childhood education field to promote gender balance and equity and enhance program quality and outcomes for young children.
 

REL MIDWEST EXAMINES KINDERGARTEN ENTRY SKILLS IN ILLINOIS
 
In “
Children’s Knowledge and Skills at Kindergarten Entry in Illinois: Results from the First Statewide Administration of the Kindergarten Individual Development Survey,” Jill Bowdon and colleagues examine the reliability and validity of the Illinois kindergarten entry assessment and look at differences in skills at kindergarten entry across child subgroups and school poverty levels.
