WATERLOO, Iowa (Iowa's News Now) — A bison has been spotted over the last few days near the town of Hudson in Black Hawk county.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office said there were several reports of a bison roaming the roads west of Hudson.

The bison was spotted Monday night (July 20th) in the general area of the county park on Zaneta Road.

Hudson Police say officers have been unable to corral or capture the bison due to crop conditions. They have also not been able to locate the animal's owner.

Hudson Police say the bison should be considered unpredictable and dangerous so if you see the animal remain in your car and call Black Hawk County Dispatch.
