The Home Affairs Department has once again come under the spotlight, this time as a result of hundreds of fraudulent documents found in one of the buildings in the Johannesburg CBD.
Documents including IDs, Birth Certificates, Passports, Visas and South African Social Security Agency forms among others were found in one of the buildings called the Vuselela Place owned by the City property group.
This after a whistleblower informed POWER News of hundreds of documents and equipment locked in one of the storerooms in the building.
Thabo Molokoane has the details.
These are documents that can only be issued at home affairs offices such as IDs, work permits, birth certificates and social security grant applications.
Allegations are that foreign nationals pay large sums of money to our person of interest who apparently works at home affairs, Rousemary Bhembe who also goes by other aliases.
