In the research memo “Examining Bridges in Mathematics and Differential Effects Among English Language Learners,” Garret J. Hall, Patti Schaefer, Teri Hedges, and Eric Grodsky examine the implementation of a new mathematics curriculum in the Madison Metropolitan School District and investigate whether English language proficiency is associated with math gains.

Join us as we chat with Caitlin Farrell, Director of NCRPP and good friend of NNERPP, who will share updates on a recent William T. Grant funded effort to develop RPP effectiveness measures. We’ll introduce the project, share the approaches we are taking to develop the measures, provide an update on where we are, and present some puzzles we’ve encountered thus far. Caitlin is the PI of this work, along with co-PIs Paula Arce-Trigatti (NNERPP), Bill Penuel (CU Boulder), and Jim Soland (UVA).
