EDUCATION RESEARCH ALLIANCE FOR NEW ORLEANS EXAMINES TEACHER QUALITY
 
In “
Do Charter Schools Keep Their Best Teachers and Improve Quality? Retention and Rewards for Teachers in New Orleans,” Nathan Barrett, Deven Carlson, Douglas N. Harris, and Jane Arnold Lincove examine the link between teacher quality and retention in New Orleans. This study was published in partnership with the National Center for Research on Education Access and Choice (REACH).

The Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) Spring conference, scheduled to take place this week and to feature many sessions from NNERPP members and friends, was canceled amid the ongoing threat from the Coronavirus. Also note: If you are scheduled to attend the American Educational Research Association (AERA) conference, please note that it has been shifted to a virtual meeting. If attending the Association for Education Finance and Policy (AEFP) 45th Annual Conference, please note it has also been converted to a virtual conference, and keep checking for updates here.
 
We hope to offer some opportunities for knowledge exchange and learning in the spirit of these conferences in the coming weeks (see Virtual Brown Bag announcement on the right!) – and hope you stay healthy and safe.
