WISCONSIN EDUCATOR EFFECTIVENESS RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP EXPLORES THE EFFECTS OF TEACHER PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK
In “The Impact of the Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness Process on New Teacher Turnover,” Curtis J. Jones, Elizabeth Cain, and Leon Gilman examine how the implementation of the Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness process – Wisconsin’s teacher evaluation process – relates to new teacher retention.
In “The Impact of the Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness Process on Student Achievement,” Curtis J. Jones and Leon Gilman examine the connection between improvements in the quality and use of teacher performance feedback and improvements in student achievement.
DETROIT EDUCATION RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP EXAMINES STUDENT MOBILITY AND STUDENT EXIT
In “School Characteristics and Student Mobility in Detroit,” Ben Pogodzinski, Walt Cook, Sarah Winchell Lenhoff, and Jeremy Singer examine the association between school characteristics and within- and between-year student mobility rates in Detroit.
In “Exiting Detroit For School: Inequitable Choice Sets and School Quality,” Sarah Winchell Lenhoff, Jeremy Singer, Ben Pogodzinski, and Walt Cook look at school-level factors and choice set characteristics associated with Detroit students choosing to attend school outside of the city.
PHILADELPHIA EDUCATION RESEARCH CONSORTIUM STUDIES STUDENT MOBILITY
In “Student Mobility and Dropout in Philadelphia High Schools, 2013-14 through 2016-17,” Matthew P. Steinberg, Molly Pileggi, and Ruth Neild examine the characteristics of mobile students in Philadelphia and the types of schools they most commonly exit and enter, and look at the association between mobility and dropout.
REL MIDWEST EXAMINES POSTSECONDARY PATHWAYS IN MINNESOTA
In “The Postsecondary Education and Employment Pathways of Minnesota Public High School Graduates: Investigating Opportunity Gaps,” Amy R. Feygin, Nicole I. Guarino, and Max Pardo examine the pathways Minnesota public high school graduates take within one year of graduation and their degree attainment and employment outcomes six years after graduation.
HOUSTON EDUCATION RESEARCH CONSORTIUM EXAMINES COLLEGE ASPIRATIONS
In “Finishing What My Parents Started: College Aspirations among EMERGE Students,” Irina Chukhray, Brian Holzman, Nehemiah Ankoor, and DongMei Li examine college aspirations among Houston Independent School District high school sophomores enrolled in the EMERGE college access program.
