VIRTUAL BROWN BAGS

WHEN: Wednesday, January 27, at 3 pm ET / 2 pm CT / 12 pm PT

PRESENTERS: Tricia Zucker, Cheryl McCallum, and Cindy Elias, Teaching Together

TOPIC: Tricia, Cheryl, and Cindy will share initial findings from an experimental study that addresses potential barriers parents/caregivers may perceive when doing informal STEM activities with their child. Findings will support STEM learning at home and reduce early disparities in informal STEM learning for families with children who are experiencing poverty.
 

ABOUT THE RPP: Teaching Together is a partnership between the Children’s Learning Institute at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the Children’s Museum Houston, as well as schools in Houston Independent School District, Aldine Independent School District, and Stafford Independent School District.
NNERPP aims to develop and support RPPs in education in order to improve the connection between research, policy, and practice.
