UCHICAGO CONSORTIUM EXAMINES THE ROLE OF ARTS EDUCATION IN SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
 
In “
Arts Education and Social-Emotional Learning Outcomes: Developing A Theory of Action,” Camille A. Farrington and colleagues outline a theory of action that describes how arts learning experiences can promote the development of social-emotional competencies. This project was conducted in partnership with Ingenuity.
 

EQUITY IMPLEMENTED EXAMINES SCHOOL CLIMATE
 
In “
Student Experiences of School Climate in the Iowa City Community School District: 2019,” Sarah K. Bruch and colleagues detail results from the district’s fourth annual school climate survey, identifying areas of opportunity and strength, as well as disparities across demographic groups, to guide district policy and school improvement planning.
 

REL MIDWEST STUDIES ENGLISH LEARNER STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
 
In “
Student and School Characteristics Associated with Academic Performance and English Language Proficiency Among English Learner Students in Grades 3–8 in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District,” Rachel Garrett, Elisabeth Davis, and Ryan Eisner explore which student and school characteristics are associated with English Learner student achievement in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
 

OFFICE FOR EDUCATION POLICY EXAMINES ENGLISH LEARNERS IN ARKANSAS
 
In “
A Brief History of English Language Learners in Arkansas,” Sarah McKenzie, Molly I. Beck, and Charlene A. Reid provide an overview of the context of English Learner education policies at the national and state level and examine state-wide and region-wide trends in the growth of Arkansas’ English Learner student population.

How to organize data analysis sessions in ways that support equity, mutualism, and new understanding is a critical part of leading an RPP. 
 
The “RPP Data Representation Workshop,” co-organized by the
Research+Practice Collaboratory and NNERPP, is designed to help you and your team develop constructive ways to organize RPP data analysis sessions.
