David Spafford announced
Drew LaComb as the new Head Regis University Baseball Coach for the 2019-20 season.

David Spafford for giving me this opportunity to serve the Regis baseball program. It is an honor and a privilege to continue to work at the place I went to school and played at" says LaComb, "Regis is a special place because of the people here, and I am excited to be able to work with the great men we have in this baseball program. As an alum, it is an exciting time to be a Ranger, and I am looking forward to the bright future of this program. Time to Ranger Up!"
LaComb (Las Vegas, Nevada) will enter his first season as the head baseball coach for Regis University after serving as an assistant coach for the past three years at Regis. During his first two years he helped Regis secure three All-Conference, one All-Region, and one national Gold Glove selection. LaComb has helped coach nine additional All-Conference players
Prior to being an assistant coach, LaComb was a standout player for the Rangers, (2014-2016) bolstering a career batting average of .361 which ranks 18
thall-time in RU baseball history. In addition, LaComb was a coach at the Catalyst Baseball Club located in Golden, Colorado, and an instructor at the Las Vegas Baseball Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prior to his time at Regis, LaComb spent two seasons at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Ariz. He was named captain of the MCC team that won NJCAA Division II National title in 2014 with a 52-13 record.
"We had a very strong candidate pool for our baseball head coach position. As we went through the process it became apparent to the committee that Coach LaComb's knowledge of the Rangers paired with his overall vision of the program would enhance upon the building blocks the past few years while providing long-term continuity in the program. I am excited to bring one of our own on board to continue the success of Ranger Baseball" said

Regis baseball is coming off a season in which they finished seventh in the conference with an overall record of 20-29, and a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) record of 15-21.
