Four-year-old reported missing in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY — Jefferson City Police said 4-year-old Darnell Gray was missing from his home on the 1100 block of Buena Vista Thursday morning.
Darnell was described as a black male, 3 1/2 feet to 4 feet tall and weighing 50 pounds. The child has short hair and is wearing a black and white sleeper with a black coat, Spider-Man shoes and possibly a Black Panther backpack.
Police said the boys' parents were out of town, and he was being watched by a guardian. Officers said the boy was in his bed at 11 p.m. Wednesday, but he was not there Thursday morning. Foul play is not suspected, but police said there is concern because the child may have been outside for several hours in cool temperatures. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has brought in search helicopters to attempt locating the missing 4-year-old.
He wasreported missing along with his coat, hat, gloves, backpack, two juice boxes and some cookies from the residence.
