(Updated on 27/5/2020)
I currently have 2 repos:
- Repo for free releases: http://evynw.github.io
- Repo for paid releases: http://evelyn-ynam.yourepo.com
The free widgets from my github repo are compatible from iOS9 up to 14.5+.
Most of the paid packages on Yourepo are updated to be compatible on iOS13 upwards. However, do note that there are a handful of them not yet updated (since I have way too many things at hand), so please pay attention to the “compatible iOS” description BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING.
Read on to find out how to enable widgets.
🌷 Using LS widgets
1. Xen HTML 2.0 (from Matt’s repo: xenpublic.incendo.ws)
Xen HTML has gotten a whole revamp in ver 2.0 and we’re ’bout to experience quite a lot of changes. Since Xen HTML 2.0 is still very new, my repo & widgets are not yet modified to fit these changes yet. But rest assured, they will be!
Since I’m assuming no one will actually be staying on lower versions of Xen HTML, the following guide will proceed on the basis that you have Xen HTML 2.0 installed.
I’m in the course of removing dependencies and updating the way widgets are packaged, this guide is formulated to fit both the current transition phase and the ultimate state (after I’m done updating).
Widgets take the usual HTML form. Widgets should be placed in the following directories
Before update: /var/mobile/Library/LockHTML
After update: /var/mobile/Library/Widgets/Universal or Lockscreen
At present, many of my widgets, specifically the ones which include weather/battery info, require XenInfo in order for those components to work properly. Hence I’ve listed XenInfo as a dependency.
Add June’s repo (http://junesiphone.com/supersecret/) to your package manager. XenInfo is a free tweak downloadable without the need to login, so technically you are not required to subscribe or to sign in beforehand.
If, however, you want to subscribe to his repo, you can do so by using my discount code of “evelyn” and get 50% off! 🌝
NOTE: New development since iOS13.5 & Xen HTML 2.0
- Xen HTML 2.0 has recently been released by Matt (@_Matchstic), and it does away with the requirement of API tweaks like XenInfo & InfoStats 2 (if you still remember what this is LOL). Hence, if you’ve updated to Xen HTML 2.0, technically XenInfo is no longer required for weather & battery info to work.
- However, due to the fact that I have TOO MANY widgets on my repo, it will take a very loooooong time for me to update all packages & remove the dependency. So for the time being, you can either:
- Download the widgets from my public folder (link in my twitter bio); OR
- Follow the following steps.
June’s repo has been hit with huge traffic after unc0ver 5.0 was released. His repo server has been overloaded, so free downloads like XenInfo have been disabled.
Go to this Patreon page of June – there is a link to the XenInfo deb here. Download it and install it either in Filza / other package managers.
After you’re done, go to my repo to install widgets of your choice. You should be able to install them without the error of “missing dependency”.
June has confirmed that once the traffic subsides, XenInfo will continue to be hosted on his repo.
NB: While having XenInfo enabled won’t hurt your phone, you’re free to switch it off or disable it in iCleaner since it’s no longer required if you have Xen HTML 2.0.
2. LockPlus
LockPlus is created by @JunesiPhone, available on his supersecret repo, more info: http://junesiphone.com/supersecret/
🌷 Using HS widgets
Lucky you, there are currently 2 methods to enable widgets on your springboard: 1) Xen HTML, and 2) FrontPage.
1) Xen HTML 2.0 (from Matt’s repo: xenpublic.incendo.ws)
Widgets take the usual HTML form. Widgets should be placed in the following directories
Before update: /var/mobile/Library/SBHTML
After update: /var/mobile/Library/Widgets/Universal or Homescreen
The other part remain the same as the above part on LS widgets.
2) FrontPage
I have FrontPage widgets, but mostly OPWs (one-page widgets). The tweak of Frontpage can be installed from June’s repo – http://junesiphone.com/supersecret/
Place the widget in the following directory:
/var/mobile/Library/FrontPage
