This personal web space blends art, writing, and coding into a project, celebrating both the playful and the profound. The goal is for visitors to have a thoughtful and engaging experience that makes them feel, think or react.

There are reflections and story telling, which will keep you immersed for a bit. It's ironic that these cultural curiosities like zines, bookshelf, mutuals, and shrines. have been moved to the old website but I hope you find something that resonates.

About the Webmistress

I'm a web curator with an M.A. in mass media; blending coding, fine art, and writing. As webmasters, we offer a service through collaboration and shared knowledge that narrows the gap between audience and creator; lending a more inclusive web.

When I'm not busy nurturing this site, I enjoy museums, the industrial art scene and soaking up everyday experiences. I find humor in the little ironies of life that might otherwise make me scream, so my mind can be pretty introspective.

My hobbies include: chess, documentaries, cooking, and painting, including miniatures (yes! with the magnifying glass and everything). I'm passionate about citizen science, wellness and stepping into my highest self despite setbacks.

Fine Art Gallery

My artwork spans across a variety of mediums including polychromes pencils, gouache, watercolor, cray pas, oil pastels and the use of a drawing tablet like the Huion. The style that most defines my bedside manner; as an artist is deeply rooted in abstract impressionism, which is often celebrated for its expressive brushwork, vibrant colors, and layered textures. I'm continually drawn to exploring complex moods by transcending literal representation, tracking therapeutic nuances to facilitate expression and exploring subjectivity in a sensory oriented world. I'm able to convey emotions that might otherwise allude us in the pursuit of perfection. Needless to say, each piece becomes a story unfolding that the viewer bears witness to.

024 - Attitude is All

It’s good to try and be rooted in something deeper so that when shit hits the fan (SHTF); we’re not left completely scrambling to make sense of it all. Life is not exactly, as I had imagined it these days and things might be this way longer than I imagine. As a result, I find myself searching for ways to take back some power. Even if I can do small things like make my bed in the morning, I’ve met a goal and am beginning to think of it as a small victory that counts for something but sometimes the struggle you have isn’t always the struggle you want. What this means is that...

028 - Artist Tools

I’m migrating back to Gimp from Procreate, after an extensive test run and have thought about some of my reasons for making the switch: A) Gimp is a more robust program that better fits my workflow with advanced editing like cloning shadows. For professional work, tools with more flexibility and depth are important to me. Otherwise, the Procreate app is fine for tasks like preliminary line work. B) Gimp's detailed layers panel lets you adjust properties like true opacity. It offers greater precision, whereas procreate focuses on

025 - Privacy is its Own Currency

In an age where so many people are occupying youtube with videos of themselves; privacy seems like a luxury but it's not. Being able to go out on a bad hair day without trending, walk into a store without being recognized and enjoying the simple practice of living without judgment isn't optional. Many of us require this to feel as if we exist independently; as if we're human, our own and unhinged to our surroundings...

029 - The Great AI Divide

In light of the anti AI campaign brewing around Neocities, a fellow neocitizen asked me what my thoughts were regarding the topic. Some people like it, some people hate and some of us are sitting on the fence but her question reminded me of an initiative I found

007 - Reflections from the Fair

It’s hard to say what grabbed my attention most at the county fair; if it was the sugary fluff of cotton candy mingled with freshly mowed grass, the various flavors of dipping dots ice cream that called out from their stands or the commotion surrounding people waiting to board the rides? I personally don’t ride any attractions because if I stand still long enough; life will jerk the fuck out of me for free. Ironically I was standing next to people who were talking...

In an age where so many people are occupying youtube with videos of themselves; privacy seems like a luxury but it's not. Being able to go out on a bad hair day without trending, walk into a store without being recognized and enjoying the simple practice of living without judgment isn't optional. Many of us require this to feel as if we exist independently; as if we're human, our own and unhinged to our surroundings. Despite the value of privacy, society pushes us in the opposite direction and demands us to be social; making it hard for those of us who value insulation. What this activity teaches us is that creativity can be bought and sold; while exposing ourselves in the process. This can make us vulnerable to things like tracking on the internet, targeted marketing and data breeches but for some; the trade off makes it all worth while. It becomes apparent that influence is king and so is the ability to built a brand or build a lifestyle; at any expense. What this means is that you're probably going nowhere in terms of building a residual income; if you aren't part of this momentum.
