OT website sort of spam

If anyone might have a quick second to spare, could you please take a look at my site, but only the index and main pages since those are the only ones with this new color scheme, and tell me if the color scheme (including the text, and how it relates to the background) is too bright, too dark, too clash-y, or just right? I've been told the text(probably the links) is too light and looks odd with the background color. I can't seem to find a darker green that would make the text stand out better and yet not look like puke or regurgitated slime....
