Photoshop help!

Help! I have Photoshop 5. something.... and was screwing around with it. Don't know what I did, but now my cursor, if I put it on paintbrush or dodge tool or blur, my cursor shows up as a crosshair for all of the tool options. How do I get it to go back to a little paintbrush for the brush, and a little rain drop for the blur tool?
