Why have you consumed my brain, Tom Hardy, why???
I got disc 1 of The Take in the mail today and have watched it and completely fell head over heels for Tom Hardy's character Freddie. Here, let me wax poetic about it:
He's a no-good, cold as stone, drunk and disorderly vindictive gangster criminal but ohmygod, he is amazing. Because Tom Hardy plays his vulnerabilities just as well as he plays his vicious streak....and it's the tears that seem to gather around his eyes in every other scene even though the man isn't crying, it's the way he hangs his head, how he carries himself, that brilliant facade he keeps on when he's fucked up and he knows and somehow he doesn't give a fuck because he doesn't care what the consequences are, it's how he can't seem to ever catch a break, so he just keeps spiraling downwards, even if it's what Freddie might deserve.
Mostly, he's a BAMF, and I hate Netflix for making me wait probably days before I get the next disc.
