The Donner Party - to recap from my earlier blurb: At the movie screening, the BF was sitting right next to Steve Carlson. Wish I'd taken his seat instead. Steve and the other guys from the band came in after the lights went down but I could tell from his build, his hair, and the bracelets/watch he wore (plus the plaid shirt), that it was Steve. Thankfully I managed not to draw attention or even make a peep. I was very behaved the entire screening. Good movie, a bit slow in parts. Beautifully shot though, and all of the actors were fantastic. Christian isn't in it very much but he made every scene count. Definitely check it out when it comes to DVD.

There was a Q&A with the cast and crew afterwards, very brief. I have a few pictures but mostly they came out blurry because of the lighting. You can read a much better and detailed report here by nuptse. I can barely remember all that was said.

The concert/afterparty - was AWESOME. Christian and the band rocked the house. I don't remember the exact order of the playlist - though he said they didn't even have one, they were just going to have fun and play whatever they wanted - but they played, the songs that I can remember in no particular order: Spirit Boy, The House Rules, Rattlesnake Smile, Somethings Gotta Give, American Made, Blaze....and....and... umm shit I can't remember what else was played. But yeah, those were the highlights for me :D

Chris had a bottle of Jack Daniels on stage, and Steve took a swig of it. Then Jason took a swig of it. And Christian seemed a bit protective of it hehe. A girl also handed him a cold beer because he said his was getting warm. Awwww. He clinked bottles with her, it was pretty damn sweet.

At one point Chris actually started dancing, although mostly it was like, semi-moshing? Semi-headbanging? Not really dancing. Maybe just a little. Anyway, it was awesome. Someone should've caught that on camera. There were so many girls there who had cameras and were taking pictures/recording. If anyone finds this footage, please point me in the right direction!

Afterwards, everyone hung around to see if the band would come back out and meet the fans. Well, they did! Chris set up at the t-shirt booth and the herd gathered into the worst line I have ever seen. It was more a mass that sort of funneled in the closer you got to the table, lol. Anyway, he signed autographs and took pictures with everyone. When I got up to meet him, he had only met 1/3 of the fans, lots more to go.

The autograph - okay, I have to tell this story. It was my turn to get his autograph and I told him my name, then he started to spell it before I could spell it out, and he wrote "Ne..." and I said, "Em - Emm - eee" And he changed the 'N' to an 'M' by tacking on another line, lol, and then we got to the "-xia" part and he wrote 's' and I was like, "X - *draws X on table with finger*" and he paused and was like "What?" and I repeated it two more times. And then he hands the flyer he was signing to the bodyguard/bouncer guy next to him and said, "Here's another one I messed up!" And then he started a new signing, this time we managed to spell my name right, "Meixia" - and he blinked at the name a few times and was all, "Seriously? Wow. Wow. How do you say that again?"

Me: "Mee-sha"
Chris: Whoa. That is the coolest fucking name I've ever heard. Seriously, that is the coolest fucking name.
Me: *smiling idiotically* Really? You think so? Thank you.

See? This is why I need to go to a SPN convention and meet Misha. I bet he'd get a kick out of the whole same-name different spelling thing.

Then his co-star Clayne Crawford from The Donner Party movie came over and Christian goofed around with him for a second and thwacked him on the shoulder and those guys, man, they totally egg eachother on. Anyway, Christian was saying that he was actually on Leverage in The First David Job as the henchman that wouldn't go down, and Christian actually said that line and it was awesome, AWESOME.

Then we had to hurry things up we were holding up the line, lol, so I took a picture with him and his back/shirt was all sweaty and it was glorious.

I left the line and saw Steve, he was nearby but away from the mob of girls in line, talking to a few people. I wanted to hang around and get a picture with him but he left to go do something and said he'd be right back. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay and had to jet so I didn't get to meet Steve really, though he was standing like 3 feet away.

Overall, wonderful evening. Good movie, amazing music, great show. Chris Kane - sweetest guy ever.
