Gary Oldman...
I've loved this man since The Professional...which is to say, I've missed a lot of his movies before then. So I decided to catch up, and am starting on a Gary Oldman kick.
I watched Sid & Nancy today and OMG YOU GUYS. This is like the most tragic story about love and addiction you'll ever watch. It's depressing, maybe, but I was either laughing/giggling or 'aww'-ing throughout most of it because his portrayal of Sid feels so real and genuine and consistent and you just get lost in his performance...that and both Sid and Nancy are never dull or boring, however messed up or blissed out they may be. Wonderful movie, and it's funny, which I think a lot of people tend to miss.
