AI TOUR - Houston Toyota Center - 8/24/08
The concert was amazing.
I met everyone except Chikezie and Ramiele. My brief recap of the before, during, and after concert
So we get to Houston and we check into the hotel, then I bring the cameras and go to the Toyota Center to wait for the Idols. There's already a large group of people by the time I get there, which is around 11:30 am, but I manage to get up next to the railing. Then I waited out in the hot Texas heat for hours, until they finally came out at 2:30-ish. All of us were about to die of heat stroke.
Jason and David Cook came out first. This HUGE group of Jason Castro fans were standing next to me. They're cool and all, but I did get jostled out of the way when Jason and Cook came out, and didn't get a chance to get Cook's picture because everyone near me was clamoring for Jason's attention. As a result, I only got 2 good pictures of Cook =( Almost didn't get Cook's autograph, too, since he was moving so fast (first one out, first one back inside) but some kind fan handed him the picture I wanted autographed (thank god). Then Carly came out.
And here he is going back in again - he tried to get everyone but he was moving pretty fast, probably had a lot of press to do. He is as gorgeous in person :)

And Carly is wayyyy more beautiful in person, like you would not believe.
Then came Brooke and I got a picture with her but I look terrible in it so I'm not posting that one.
Then Archuleta came out and everyone screamed extremely loud (there were a lot of Archie fans and a lot of Castro fans that afternoon.) David is waaaayyy wayyyyy more gorgeous in person. His beauty just - astounds me. His eyes are huge and pretty, and his happiness was infectious.
David A. was super nice and stayed the longest with the fans signing autographs. He was the last one to leave. He actually ran inside when he was halfway through the line of people waiting and I was like, "OMG NO!!" because he hadn't reached my area yet, but I think he had to use the bathroom because he came back like thirty seconds later, lol. Fans sang "Crush" to him yet again :)
Soooo.. Michael didn't come out during the afternoon, which was bummer. But I had hope for the after-concert signing.
Here be concert photos - I had two cameras and one took better quality pictures than the other, but it still had trouble with the lighting and movement of the Idols on stage. Here are some of the better ones that came out though they're all out of order from actual performance lineup.
Added this one because David's shoulders and back are hot. The quality kind of sucks, sorry about that.
It was really hard to get a good group number shot.
And just adding here - when Cook got down on one knee on the catwalk and did his little bow to Archuleta, and after Archuleta jumped up and down and pointed down to Cook, Cook would not get up. Archie was like pulling at his jacket trying to get him to stand up, it was adorable. Too bad I couldn't get a pic, my camera would've caught big blobs of white in the form of Cookleta. (I couldn't get good pics of the catwalk at all, the lighting there was just too bright, it washed out the picture.)
Kristy, Chikezie, Archie, Syesha, Brooke and Jason all came out after the show one by one. And then Michael Fucking Johns came out and rocked everyone's world. He is one of the nicest people ever. He said he was actually pretty tired (also, he took so many pictures with fans, even more than Archuleta.)
As you can see, night shots are hard for my camera(s).
I got a picture with Michael and he completely had his hand around my sweaty neck. I told him, "Sorry I'm so sweaty!" and he said, "Aren't we all." Hehe. But I was so rushed that I forgot to zoom out so what I ended up getting was the pic in my icon right now. BUT! Michael was incredibly nice and as he was leavng (it was midnight at this time, buses were supposed to be leaving) I caught up to him and asked him if we could take another pic because my first one was too zoomed in, and he agreed even though he was extremely rushed.

And that's pretty much it. I spent an inordinate amount of time waiting to meet these guys and in the end, I was only a little disappointed that Cook didn't come out a second time after the concert (I heard he rarely does anymore). I really wanted a nice pic with Cook, but oh well.
Credit for pictures would be nice if you take them/use them for whatever, thanks!
