oy, hotels... and rambling
We decided (or I decided, rather) to drive out to Fort Worth Friday night so we don't have to worry about rushing the drive, as soon as I get Stats homework out of the way, which will take me until sundown, I'm sure. So I'm kinda iffy about driving at night across state...but uh, how scary could it be, right?
So I called Days Inn (where we're staying, on University) and talked to someone with a very thick accent. We wanted to change our check in time to Friday. Hopefully, they got it right (I've had bad experiences with hotels screwing up) and hopefully we'll have somewhere to sleep Friday night and Saturday night. They said our confirmation number would be the same - but the confirmation number they gave me over the phone is different than the original confirmation number. Gonna call them back tomorrow and make sure everything is ok (hopefully I'll get someone easier to understand.) And ask them for directions, yes. Must remember to do that.
I'm trying to pick out outfits. A formal dress would be too dressy, but I have this really cute brown one! Alas, no shoes to go with that dress. Maybe just some black pants and a nice top, or jeans with a nice top and some black heels. Damn. My feet cringe in terror....so maybe not heels.
I'm nervous, can you tell? Send good thoughts on my car surviving the trip! And the hotel not screwing up. And that with my awful sense of direction, that I don't get us lost.

eta: I totally just ordered all three Steve Carlson cd's and Jason Manns' cd, grand total about $50 bucks. Not bad at all.
