Sorry about all the meta

Someone mentioned this on the email list: Lex did, for all purposes, kill for Clark. Granted, Nixon deserved it...and now that I look back on it, sure, Lex didn't have to kill him, and I really didn't see why it was necessary to actually kill the guy, but Lex still killed for Clark. That's got to say something....

Or, if you want to look at it from another angle, Lex could've killed him to cover his own ass. Didn't want him blabbing to Clark about everything...etc.etc..

Or! Heh, Lex is probably just madly in love with Clark and will do anything, go to any lengths, to protect him. And it's kind of ironic how this one act that might've been done to ensure his friends safety is the first step to Lex's ultimate descent into evil. B/c he killed a man, fer chrissakes.
