Fan Art: Lots of Ceilidhs

Back on July 15, I posted an open request on Mastodon. I had been having a very rough couple of months, and I needed some cheering up, so I asked if any artists would like to draw my original character Ceilidh (pronounced "KAY-lee"). I love seeing how others interpret my characters and present them in new, unique styles. And Ceilidh is my first OC, having been with me for almost 30 years, so it's particularly special for me when she gets attention from others.

Well, I was blown away by the response! Many artists came through with some beautiful, funny, and creative drawings. It was some much-needed positivity for me, and I need to thank them and share their work with everyone. The thumbnails below link to the full-sized, original images posted on Mastodon, which should be viewable to anyone (even without a Mastodon/Fediverse account)... but there's no guarantee they will be available forever. I'm also linking to any artist sites I can find, which will hopefully be more permanent.

If you had posted your own drawing of Ceilidh and it's not listed below, then I may have skipped it by mistake, or else federation weirdness prevented me from seeing it; either way, please let me know! And any new drawings will always be welcome!

About Me

I'm Johann Sebastian Staedtler (he/him). ...Not the German guy who made pencils in the 1800s; I'm a Canadian who spends way too much time online, and likes to draw. Digital art is kinda my "thing," but it's based entirely on my obsessive infatuation with femininity—so expect lots of cute women.

I actually get paid to be an IT administrator and network analyst. I live in the Greater Toronto Area, but I'm an Ottawa Senators fan (so when the Leafs lose, just know that I'll be happy).

I'm not a capital-G gamer, but I do have a decent ratio of games played to games owned on Steam. And you're likely to find me digging into the detailed minutia of the Xenoblade series.

I'm a dirty anti-capitalist lefty (without the dirt), and you won't find me on the corporate social media behemoths. I happily promote Mastodon and other platforms on the Fediverse, and you'll find me at @jsstaedtler@mastodon.art. Check out the Links page for more ways to follow my work and support me.

Finally, my original creative work is published under the Creative Commons Attribution license (CC BY 4.0). This means you can freely distribute, adapt, or modify my creations (even commercially), as long as you clearly credit me for my contribution. One big reason for this is I love to see how other artists draw my original characters, and if you do so, please let me know!
